Arizona Makes Progress In Biosciences Sector

A couple of decades ago, a group of Arizona leaders — assisted by voter-approved and legislative funding—committed to making the state competitive in the biosciences.

To some extent, Arizona was playing catch-up against communities like Boston and San Diego. But the latest report on the state’s Bioscience Roadmap indicates significant progress has been made in the past two years.

Mitch Horowitz, principal and managing director of TEConomy Partners — which was commissioned by the Flinn Foundation to produce the report — joined The Show to talk about the latest, and whether COVID-19-related research could impact Arizona’s biosciences sector even further.
