Back in January, the School of Architecture at Taliesin and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation decided to close the Scottsdale school. But the board for the School of Architecture at Taliesin has voted to keep the doors open.

The board made its decision last week after reportedly securing other sources of funding.

The school was originally set to close its doors in the summer because it couldn’t come to an agreement with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation on how to remain open in the long term. However, it is not clear if the foundation will agree with the board’s decision to remain open.

The school needs permission from the foundation because the foundation owns the buildings that are used at Taliesin.

The School of Architecture at Taliesin is a separate institution from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.

EDITOR'S NOTE: A previous version of this story misstated the relationship between the School of Architecture at Taliesin and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. They are separate entities.
