Governor Doug Ducey has announced the members of the Classrooms First Initiative Council, which Ducey will co-chair with Jim Swanson, president and CEO of Kitchell Corporation.

In a statement, the governor said, "The council's charge is to develop (an education) funding formula that recognizes and rewards performance, efficiency and innovation through flexible distribution of funds for every successful education delivery model.”

The governor also told Capitol Media Services last week that he’s not willing to raise taxes to increase funding for K-12 education.

We discussed that with Andrew Morrill, president of the Arizona Education Association.
