The Department of Interior won’t use Chinese-made drones or drones with Chinese parts, except in emergency situations. The federal agency issued the new policy this week over concerns that drones can be used for Chinese espionage.

In Arizona, drones have been used by the National Parks Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation.

Joining The Show now to help make sense of the new drone ban is Miriam McNabb, contributing editor to DRONELIFE, a website that covers the drone industry and drone news.
