Boas: Pros And Cons Of Invest In Ed Effort
Now we’re going to check in with the Editorial Board of The Arizona Republic. It’s a weekly segment where we talk about current issues facing the state and the nation — featured in columns on the newspaper’s Op-Ed pages.
The Invest in Ed effort has returned for the 2020 campaign, two years after a court ruling kept it off the 2018 ballot.
Supporters say they’ve made adjustments, but an increase on the income taxes of Arizonans who make at least $250,000 a year is still at the core of the measure.
A column by the Republic’s Abe Kwok addresses the pros and cons of the concept, and The Show spoke with the paper’s Editorial Director Phil Boas about it for their weekly conversation.
