Rideshares, New Tech And Self-Driving Cars Keep Older Americans Rolling

For many older Americans, losing the ability to hop in the car and get yourself where you want to go can feel like losing control. And, at the same time, being the one to suggest a senior hand over their car keys can feel like a betrayal.

It’s a conversation generation after generation has had to grapple with, but now, it’s changing. Today, there are rideshare options in addition to public transportation.

And autonomous vehicles are becoming more and more commonplace. Even the cars we drive are built with increasingly sophisticated technology.

So how are these advances changing the conversation about when to stop driving? To find out, The Show spoke with AARP Arizona Director Dana Kennedy.
