Last weekend, boxing fans — and others — were treated to the so-called fight of the century between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
Some people who had looked forward to watching it were still a little hesitant because of the personal lives of the fighters. Mayweather in particular, because he served time for domestic violence.
Should we be willing to spend time and money on celebrities — athletes, actors or musicians — who make off-stage or off-field decisions we don’t respect?
We talked with psychologist Dr. Lawrence Rubin and journalist/activist Tessara Dudley about the issue.
