Arizona Gov. Raul Castro in 1975.

The Douglas port of entry could soon have a new name. The Arizona Congressional Delegation helped pass a bill Tuesday that could make that happen.

The Raul Hector Castro Port of Entry is the name being proposed for the Douglas crossing. Castro died earlier this month.

All nine Arizona House members sponsored the bill.

During his speech on them United States House floor, Rep. Raul Grijalva said Gov. Castro’s service to Arizona and the country as a U.S. ambassador should be recognized and honored.

The bill was approved unanimously in the House. It still has to go through the Senate and signed by President Obama for final approval.
