Thanksgiving travel this year is expected to increase by nearly 3%.

AAA Arizona expects more than 55 million Americans to travel by car or plane. With an increase of about 1.6 million travelers next week, this Thanksgiving is projected to mark the second highest travel holiday since 2005.

Aldo Vazquez with AAA Arizona explained the different types of services they usually do.

“AAA Arizona rescued about 5,882 people last year and most of the calls for service were for towing, battery replacement and flat tires. This year we are expected about 6,070 calls per service,” he said.

Vazquez recommends getting your car serviced before holiday travel and to plan for emergencies.
