One of the most traditional performances for the holiday season is The Nutcracker. You know the story -- a young girl named Clara receives a nutcracker as a Christmas gift. She's awaken at midnight by a battle between lifesize soldier toys and large mice in army uniforms. Soon, she's traveling to the snow forest and watching the Sugar Plum Fairy.

An offbeat tale, no doubt. And the creativity of Ballet Arizona's Artistic Driector Ib Andersen makes the performance even more dramatic.
