Backers of an initiative to legalize recreational marijuana in Arizona have run the ballot language by legislative council, essentially state lawmakers’ in-house legal team.

Part of the ballot initiative spells out where the money from fines and civil penalties will go.

Roopali Desai, an attorney representing the “Smart and Safe Arizona Act,” joined The Show to talk about this measure and how soon the petitions could hit the streets.
