Harkins Theatres have been in the Phoenix metro area for nearly 90 years. In that time, the family-owned company has grown from one theater near Mill Avenue in Tempe, to the fifth largest theater chain in North America.

Now they're announcing another major expansion into new headquarters in Scottsdale, which will also include mixed-use space for retail near Loop 101 and McDonald Drive.

For more on this and the way the company still pays homage to their long Arizona history, The Show talked to owner Dan Harkins.
