California Channel Sets Precedent For Government Video Access

Arizona’s neighbor to the west was an early adopter of video access to state and county government meetings. The California Channel began broadcasting in February of 1991.

It is now carried on 99.7 percent of cable systems in the state. California Channel President John Hancock explained that a USC study helped lead to its creation.
