Challenge grants are a great way for your business or organization to get additional publicity during pledge drives while you support non-commercial public radio. They are a strong motivator for other listeners to pledge, helping to build the public radio community.
Statistically we know that when a dollar for dollar challenge is offered to our audience during a pledge drive, listeners respond. In fact, 40 percent of the monies raised in the 2005 spring KJZZ and KBAQ pledge drives resulted from first time pledgers who were motivated by on-air challenges from our many business partners.
Public radio is a valued Arizona community asset. KJZZ and KBAQ deliver quality news, music and cultural programming to over 250,000 residents that tune in every week - a number which continues to grow. Ours is an audience which is loyal to KJZZ and KBAQ. Businesses and organizations have found that support for the stations yields distinct marketing benefits:
– Builds brand awareness by linking your business with cultural institutions
– Generates community goodwill through support of nonprofit radio
– Positions your business before an educated, affluent, influential audience
