Kristena Hansen covered commercial and residential real estate for the Phoenix Business Journal for the past two years, which involved a range of topics from housing trends, publicly traded home builders and real estate investment trusts (REITs), and commercial development.

She previously worked for The Arizona Republic, covering a variety of business topics and also education.

Before graduating from ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in 2010, Hansen completed seven internships at publications such as The Arizona Republic, Phoenix Business Journal and Los Angeles Times.

Hansen is a Seattle native but has lived in the Valley for the past 12 years. In her spare time, you can find her with her dog hiking some mountain or camping.
