David Newman started his career as a blues and R & B horn player working alongside Ray Charles. After playing for Ray and others for 10 years he evolved into a soulful jazz artist with his own sound and his own band. Hear both sides of David "Fathead" Newman tonight on the 9 O'clock Special.
