Phoenix mayor to be sworn in today

Phoenix will inaugurate a new mayor for the first time in eight years.

Mayor-elect Greg Stanton will be sworn in Tuesday morning at the Orpheum Theater along with council members in four districts. Former Governor Rose Mofford will swear-in Stanton at 10 a.m.

The other addition to the council is Daniel Valenzuela in District Five. Valenzuela replaces Claude Mattox who ran unsuccessfully last year for mayor.
