Here and Now - Arizona's Competive Supermarket Industry
I cant listen to these guys - I've turned off my radio for the hour.
Basha's is not too big to fail, we need to stop bailing out industries.
If there was so much support for Basha's from all those big names the guest just rattled off, then they should have put up the money to save the business, instead of using their influence to lobby tax dollars.
I'm disgusted.
I think that people may not realize how important things such as cleanliness and organization of the store come into play as well as price and customer service. I completely avoid Walmart, because I find them dirty and unorganized and always find that the line are extremely long. I refuse to go to Walmart, except for last minute middle of the night emergencies when they are the only store open. I also believe the discounts of Walmart are overstated and find that typically I spend less at other stores such as Fry's which is main store of choice.
I found the program a huge commercial for Bashas. Every comment somehow became an indorsement for the Bashas family. My shopping is a Whole Foods Market because I want quality food without artifical ingredients, great customer service and a company that gives back to the local ecomomy as well as the planet.
I'm glad to hear SOMEBODY stepping up to support a local business in trouble.....if Bashas generosity is even HALF of what those guys said, then they are worth saving.......as opposed to the banks!
C'mon!
I grew up in Phoenix and I speak from the heart when I say that it is important to support businesses that support the local community. Bashas is a great example of an American company that has done a tremendous amount of good for the city and the residents of Phoenix. I found this segment to be both informative and helpful.
Adam, Dave, and Burt were all great guests. Great KJZZ report once again.
