Good Morning Governor,
Are there any plans to restrict heavy or commercial vehicles to certain lanes on the freeways in the near future? If not, why not. I drive for a living (courier)in a mini van and their wandering all over the roadways are both dangerous and disruptive as well as slowing the flow of traffic, because of their limitations in acceleration. I would appreciate your comments.
Thanks. PS I'm one of your staunch supporters.
When is something going to be done about the inequities between the school districts? Some have more resources than others.
Lastly the school librarians are disappearing. We need to have libraries and internet librarians as all that is posted on the intranet is not fact.
Thank you.
My wife is a teacher for the Deer Valley School district. It appears this year teachers in this district will only get a .6% raise. What does the Governor plan to do to help teachers get a pay increase? Or is the budget already done for the year. Will teachers have to wait another year for a proper raise? Thank you in advanced. I am a big supporter of Governor Napolitano.
Other states already are implementing net metering for renewable energy systems. APS still pays the worst rates for customer buy backs. The ACC said Arizona would have a comprehensive net metering policy. It still is NOT HERE and solar continues to lag much more aggressive states like New Jersey.
When are we going to get serious?

Did you have a "Kill" party last night? You know, like the drunken parties the cops have when they waste a down-on-his-luck, meth-head; or did you celebrate killing Robert Comer quietly with a nice Chiante and an close friend?

Water continues to become a more critical issue that will severly limit the state's growth. We still have a grazing program from the 1800's allowing ranchers to graze public land - desertifying it to maintain a cowboy myth. We will look like the Middle East if we continue bad grazing, deforestation and mining practices from an "extractionist" era. When will we get serious about water conservation and riparian zone repair?
To all those politicians that use the phrase "the people have spoken about Iraq"; Well, the people have spoken about the border and illegals too but the same politicians turn a deaf ear. The people don't want comprimise and the government has a BAD immigration reform track record.
I received jury notice last month, (which I will serve in a few months) but it asked me to appear on one of the 6 days a year that I am required to be at my job. But I was available the following day. That was not an option. I send the notice back in and wait again and hope that I'm not unavailable on the next date that is sent to me.
What if jury notices listed TWO dates and you can choose which one to appear at?
People work on flex schedules; maybe they work Monday, Wed, Friday, or have one day a week off, or have a doctor's appointment one day but can appear for jury duty the next day.
There might be less postponement of jury duty and it could work in everyone's best interest.

With the prison overcrowed situation as it exists, why not go back to the way it was several years ago when a non-violent offender could serve half his sentence then undergo a lengthy parole?
Governor: The majority of the American people and the majority of the Iraqi people want the occupation to end. The CIA has concluded that our presence there is increasing terrorism not the other way around. Our National Guard are being misused. Why will you not add your voice in calling for the end of this seemingly endless occupation?
My concern is that the state is not complying with the requirements of US Code Title 42, Chapter 35, Subchapter II, Part C, Subpart ii Section 3030g-21. Nutrition, regarding the nutritional content of congregate & home delivered meals for seniors & the disabled.
I have already spoken with the director of my local senior center & the nutritionist for the Area Agency on Aging. I have also attempted to contact DES , the governor's office of constituency, and the AZ Dept of Health. I still have no explanation of the state's failure to comply with the US code by following USDA guidelines. For example, the meals as currently prepared have (1) insuffiecient, or NO whole grains, (2) too much sodium, not enough potassium, (3) too much trans fat; not enough good fat, and (4) not enough fiber rich foods.
Are State employees due for another State pay raise of 2.5% for this fiscal year? I am a state employee and thinking of leaving the workforce because of the low pay situation in the State. When would it take effect if we get the raise? fast Eddie, Phoenix AZ
Several years ago you mentioned including teachers in the state health insurance system. What has become of that initiative and what can we do to get it on track. Better and cheaper health care would encourage people to become teachers and help retain them.
Dear Governor,
Given the global epidemic of obesity I don't understand why our schools don't have 4 year mandatory physical education and better choices with regard to food? I have spoken to the principal at our local school as well as the superintendant at PVUSD. My principal's comment was, "well it's not as bad at our school as others," and all our superintendant says is "we will be offering a life time fitness one credit course in lieu of our one credit physical education requirement."
Governor, right now our children can take the one credit phys ed requirement in a 6 week program in the summer, "to get it out of the way", so to speak. Ten years from now our children will probably not be doing math proofs, nor will they be concerned with the periodic table of elements. They will, hopefully, be exercising every day. I am not saying we should do away with math and science. What I am saying, is that if we don't do something immediately and in Draconian fashion, our extremely FAT children won't be able to run that high tech equipment John Kriekard thinks will keep our economy running!!!
