Valley Could See A Short Break From Monsoon Storms This Week

Valley residents may be getting a break from the monsoon storms early in the week. But it won’t be gone for long.

Chris Kuhlman is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Phoenix. He said temperatures will be around 107 degrees on Wednesday.

“Definitely by Wednesday we’ll probably see a full-fledged just moisture come in here," he said. "Then chances of storms returning and temperatures closer to normal through the end of the work week.”

Arizona Invest In Ed Organizers Say Measure Description Misleads Voters

Organizers of the Invest In Ed initiative have asked a Maricopa County Superior Court judge to force lawmakers to rewrite the description of the measure which is headed to voters this Fall.

Attorney Jim Barton, representing the Invest in Ed initiative, said the ballot measure which seeks to hike income taxes on earnings of more than $250,000 will not affect a 2015 law which indexes tax brackets to account for inflation.
