After nearly a decade as head of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Barry Broome announced yesterday that he would be leaving the job for a similar position in Sacramento.

Broome has been in the middle of the Valley’s economic development efforts and was never shy about those efforts.

Todd Sanders, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, said Broome had a significant impact.
