Two 18-year-old men are in custody for allegedly damaging the Goldwater High School football field last month with a stolen vehicle.

Police say Richard Tafoya and Kody Sarkissian are being held on suspicion of commercial burglary, criminal damage and theft of means of transportation.

Officers say they responded to numerous calls of a pickup damaging residential maiboxes and driving recklessly through yards on Oct. 5.

The suspects allegedly drove through the closed gates at the school and onto the football field where they made doughnuts and rammed the goal posts. Damage is estimated at several thousand dollars.
