Vintage, Biblical Names Top The List For 2017 Arizona Baby Names
Soon to be parents struggling for a baby name have a little help. The Arizona Department of Health released its annual population numbers and, along with it, the top baby names for boys and girls.
Gone are the popular Jessicas and Jennifers from the 1980s and 1990s.
Those girls are now old enough to have kids of their own and few handed down their namesakes.
Other vintage names moved up the chart with Penelope, Victoria and Amelia among the top 20. Emma was the top name for the second year in a row, edging out Isabella, Olivia and Sophia.
For boys this past year, biblical names remained high on the list with Luke, Jacob and Michael among the top 20. Liam was number one, followed by Noah, Sebastian and Alexander.
