The FCC is set to eliminate net neutrality in a few weeks.

These rules currently require internet service providers to treat all online content the same. Supporters of net neutrality fear without it, those providers could charge some websites more, a cost that could then be passed on to the consumer.

And now supporters worry the public comment system for the FCC has been corrupted by thousands of fake or automated comments.

Some consumers have complained to the FCC that their names and addresses were stolen and used to submit comments.
