Prescott Voters Approve Measure To Raise City Sales-Tax Rate

Voters in Prescott approved a measure that will raise the city’s sales-tax rate to help pay down the city’s $78 million pension debt.
The vote will raise residents’ sales tax by three-quarters of a percent and pay for pension benefits for police officers and firefighters.
I just got a hold of Michael Lamar, city manager in Prescott, and he said he’s incredibly happy the measure passed.
