Monday, Oct. 6 is the last day to register to vote for Arizona's general election in November and one community group is hosting an event for one last voter registration push before the deadline.

Promise Arizona is part of a statewide network of community groups focused on getting out the Latino vote. The organization has been making the rounds in churches, college campuses, high schools and communities registering eligible Latino voters.

Petra Falcon is the executive director of Promise Arizona. She said tonight volunteers will be out in the community until the last minute to get as many eligible voters registered for the Nov. 4 general election.

"What we have been doing since yesterday just to create a lot of energy in the neighborhood," Falcon said. "We’re asking people who are anywhere near Central and Roeser to come and register to vote. We’ll be there past 11 o’clock because today the political parties are able to collect voter registrations  and we’re taking advantage of that.”

Early voting begins Thursday, Oct. 9.
