A food processing company with plants in New York and here in Arizona is recalling nearly 300,000 pounds of chicken.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the recall of 150 tons of Gourmet Boutique chicken products late last week because the labeling on the frozen chicken cutlets didn’t say they contained milk.

The company says the milk, a known allergen, was accidentally cross-contaminated into the breading of the cutlets, but there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to their consumption.

Gourmet Boutique LLC is based in New York City and has facilities there and here in Phoenix. The company calls itself the nation’s leading manufacturer of high-quality pre-cooked entrees, specializes in prepared foods and serves all 50 states.
