The first group of school principals to get training from a state-based school leadership program will be graduating today.

What’s known as the Beat the Odds School Leadership Academy is funded by the state and other private investors.

Officials are also expected to announce an expansion of the program, in part, by establishing an official partnership with Phoenix Union High School District.
