What Potential Impact On Arizona Will H1-B Visa Scrutiny Have?

The H1-B Visa program has generally been a popular one. Eighty-five thousand of them have been issued through a random lottery every year to non-U.S. citizens who are considered to be higher-skilled workers.

But the Trump administration has announced greater scrutiny will be applied to the applications, in what it says will clarify whether the positions could be better filled by an American worker.

We talked about the potential impact on Arizona with Stephen Viramontes, tech educator and co-chair of the Arizona Technology Council’s Startup and Entrepreneurship Committee.
