Maricopa County is No. 1 — in terms of annual population growth.

The U.S. Census Bureau says Maricopa County added the most people between July 2015 and July of last year — more than 81,000 people, or 222 people each day.

Harris County, Texas, saw the second-biggest population gains over that time.
