We’re just a few days away from the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump. On Friday, he’ll take the oath of office in Washington, D.C. And, then on Saturday, the Women’s March on Washington.

That event, along with sister marches around the world, including here in Phoenix, are expected to draw more than 700,000 people. They will march in solidarity for those they feel have already been marginalized or discriminated against by the Trump administration, like women, people of color, and those who identify as queer.

This week, leading up to the inauguration and the Women’s March, we’re having conversations about issues that have become a part of the national conversation because of comments made by Mr. Trump, issues that could have a big impact on women in particular.

Madelaine Adelman, associate professor in Arizona State University’s School of Social Transformation, said she studies the history of violence against women and sexual harassment in the U.S. and abroad and advocates for survivors. She talks about her reaction to the allegations of sexual assault that have been made against Trump and his denial of them.

Tomorrow, we’ll have a conversation on how women may be impacted by changing health-care policy under the new administration. We’ll have several of these conversations leading up to Inauguration Day here on The Show.
