Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Lynsey Addario has been on the ground in many dangerous places documenting stories through her camera lens.

She and colleagues were even kidnapped in Libya.

She continues to travel to daunting locales for her job.

As the title of her autobiography plainly put it, "It’s What I Do."

"I have to think about why am I scared? What is that grounded in? What are the actual risks in the place that I'm going and how do I manage that?" Addario said.

We talked with Addario about her career, what drives her, and a movie of her life that is expected to star Jennifer Lawrence.

Addario will speak at the Mesa Arts Center Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
