NEA Chairman: Arts In Education Isn't Isolated

Jane Chu, the chairman of the National Endowment of the Arts is in the Valley. It’s part of her national tour celebrating the NEA’s 50th anniversary.

She spoke with The Show about the role of arts and arts education.

"We focus solely on the fact that the arts are not off in a corner by themselves. They're not isolated," Chu said. "So when it comes to arts education we see such a key role even through our own research and others that the arts make such a difference for children and youth in so many different ways."
