Gov. Ducey is set to unveil a proposal dealing with school safety. What’s expected to be in it?
Cast Votes Early, Not On Election Day At ASU
The Maricopa County Recorder’s office received some complaints last week after ASU students learned there will not be an on-campus polling location on election day.
Elizabeth Bartholomew is with the recorder’s office and said they were taking into consideration that most ASU students are not registered in the precinct where they attend school.
"They’re either on our permanent early voting list or they’re registered maybe still back at their parent’s house," Bartholomew said. "So they wouldn’t even qualify to vote at that polling place on election day."
She said instead, they opened an early voting location in the ASU Tempe campus safety escort office. Students can vote there, no matter which precinct they’re registered in. It’s one of 21 early voting locations open today through August 26.
