Mike O'Neil said the lying in today's politics is a regression to the 18th century.

Even though we’re taught that in polite society, we’re really not supposed to question someone’s veracity in politics, it happens pretty frequently. In fact, it’s almost a requirement to do it publicly, especially in recent years.
