Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona has announced it will stop offering Affordable Care Act plans in Maricopa and Pinal Counties in 2017.

However, the health insurance company does plan to continue offering ACA plans to the remaining 13 counties in the state. In a statement, officials say the move will help them balance recent losses with the need to remain in rural markets that would otherwise have limited options.

The move comes as several other large health insurance providers have also decided to leave the Arizona marketplace in 2017.
