Arizona Tax Amnesty Brings In More Than $45M, But Could Cost State

The Arizona Department of Revenue continues to process applications from the state’s tax amnesty, which ended earlier this week.

So far, the agency has collected more than $46 million. In approving the plan, state lawmakers estimated it would bring in approximately $15 million. Sean Laux is the chief legislative liaison and public information officer at the state Department of Revenue. Laux said there are a few reasons so many people have come forward during this amnesty.
