When we think about rivers in Arizona, we tend to focus on the Colorado and whether it’ll have enough water to satisfy the needs of people who live in the West. But there are many other well-known rivers in the U.S. and across the globe that are beautiful to look at, while also providing an important natural resource.

We talked with photographer and filmmaker Pete McBride about his experience chasing rivers. He’s in the Valley as part of the National Geographic live speakers series.
