Next month golf is coming back to the Olympic Games for the first time since 1904. Despite the triumphant return, many golfers have decided to keep their clubs in the bag. Several big names dropped out citing Zika concerns, but factors like money and prestige may also be in play.
The state budget signed by Gov. Doug Ducey in May included $1.5 million for the Arizona Commission on the Arts—double its previous year’s funding. That gave the Commission the opportunity to pass out many more grants, in this case, to 239 groups.
