A state legislative committee will meet this month to review proposals to help the families of the 19 firefighters killed in the Yarnell Hill wildfire. Arizona House Speaker Andy Tobin of Prescott Valley plans to introduce bills that would provide retroactive state benefits to the families.
An Arizona woman convicted in connection with the murder of her 4-year-old son in 1989, has been granted bail. Debra Milke is awaiting retrial on the charges. The retrial and bail are the result of a now questionable confession.
