Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies have rescued two
domesticated dogs that had been abandoned in the desert, east of Phoenix. Sheriff Joe
Arpaio says a woman spotted the dogs while she was on horseback and led
deputies to them.
More Arizona kids are
getting free summer meals to help their families stretch food dollars,
according to a new report from the Food Research and Action Center.
