The Pinal County Board of Supervisors has approved a permit for a medical marijuana dispensary near Maricopa despite the county attorney's recommendation that it be denied.County Attorney Lando Voyles recommended against approving the dispensary, worrying county employees who process paperwork for it, could be subject to federal prosecution.

A young bear found roaming near an East Mesa neighborhood Tuesday night has been moved. Tom Cadden of the Arizona Game and Fish Department says the bear likely roamed into the residential area after being chased off by older and larger male bears.

An Arizona Congressman is asking the Interior Secretary to
cancel a pending rule that would de-classify many U.S. wolves as endangered.
The change would apply to all gray wolves in the Lower 48
states, although there would be an exemption for less than 100 Mexican wolves
in Arizona and New Mexico.
