Law enforcement agencies from across Arizona have been involved in an effort to
bring in fugitives with outstanding felony warrants, over the last week. The effort
was coordinated by the US
Marshals Service, according to spokesman Fred Freeman.

The City of Phoenix has received a $100,000 grant to paint municipal rooftops white. The reflective paint helps reduce energy costs and might put a microscopic dent in the city’s urban heat island.

gaming revenues. The latest figures show state revenue sharing in the

Arizona. The elections omnibus bill includes a series of proposals

fire is still smoking in Laveen, nearly 24 hours after the blaze broke out. When
the fire began yesterday afternoon south of Phoenix, dozens of firefighters responded.
No homes or structures are considered in danger, but Ben Davis of the Maricopa County
Air Quality Department said local air quality has been affected by a large,
dark cloud.
