The Border Patrol said it rescued an undocumented immigrant from Mexico and one from Guatemala after the two became dehydrated and couldn’t keep up with others in their group in the mountains west of Arivaca.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed to designate more than 546,000 acres of critical habitat in 80 separate units in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Texas, Utah and Wyoming for the yellow-billed cuckoo.
Arizona delegates who recently visited Mexico City on a trade mission said Mexican officials have promised to improve the highway leading from Central Mexico to Nogales. The improvements are expected to improve the flow of goods between Arizona and Mexico.
