Gay Marriage Will Not Be On Ariz. Ballot In 2014
Organizers of an initiative campaign for a 2014 ballot measure to legalize gay marriage in Arizona are dropping that effort in favor of waiting until 2016.  The Equal Marriage Campaign says it had support but that key national advocacy groups withheld backing that was needed to make a 2014 ballot measure.

Charges Pending Against Four Teens Responsible For Damaged Flagstaff Aviation Tower
Charges are pending against four juveniles who were arrested for damaging an aviation tower near the Flagstaff airport.  Police Sgt. Cody Runge said the four were taken into custody after a stake-out by officers following a string of incidents between May and September of this year.

Suspect Flees From Police, Falls Off Cliff
A Kingman man is recovering after falling off a cliff while he was trying to run from police. Mohave County Sheriff’s deputy Rusty Cooper says 30-year-old Michael Caughlin faces a number of charges after driving off when he was stopped, and running away on foot when his car got stuck.

American Airlines and US Airways Employees Rally In Washington, DC
It's the latest on the stalled merger between American Airlines and Tempe-based US Airways. The carriers had high hopes of completing that merger by the end of this month, but a suit filed by the Department of Justice and several states including Arizona has put those on hold.

Martin Hails Supreme Court Ruling
( Phoenix, AZ ) The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5 to 4 against a key component of Arizona's public campaign finance system called Clean Elections. Justices  found a matching funds provision burdens privately financed candidates and third party groups.
