The president of the Police Officers of Scottsdale Association, or POSA, announced this week his plans to step down. His resignation comes about five months after KJZZ raised questions about POSA's fundraising practices.
The new state budget Governor Doug Ducey signed into law earlier this year included millions of dollars in spending cuts. About $1 million-worth of those cuts was to the Arizona Commission on the Arts which, among other things, deals with grants to arts organizations.

A group in Flagstaff has filed a lawsuit challenging a 2013 Arizona law that banned cities and towns in the state from setting their own minimum wages higher than the state’s. Arizona’s minimum wage was approved by voters in 2006 and currently stands at $8.05 an hour.
