Fresh and Easy CEO Tim Mason
( Phoenix, AZ ) As if gas prices weren't high enough, food prices are on their sharpest incline in nearly two decades. Now, there's a new chain of grocery stores in town. The big conglomerate called Tesco - the British equivalent of Wal-mart - has launched a string of stores in the valley called "Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Markets". It's part of a stepped-up effort to scale down grocery stores, and provide shoppers with ready made, "grab and go", dinners. But as KJZZ's Rene Gutel reports, Wal-Mart is about to enter the market to compete.
