The Mayo Clinic plans to integrate its cancer treatment programs in Phoenix. The project will add on to a facility already under construction. The Mayo Clinic’s Proton Beam Therapy Center is slated to open in 2016 and provide targeted radiation treatments.

Today may be election day, but many Maricopa County voters have already cast their ballot in the primary race. More than 45 percent of ballots are in from people who requested to vote early.The night before Election Day, the Maricopa County elections department had already received upwards of 344,000 early ballots.

The City of Glendale is threatening up to 20 million dollars in cuts if voters approve a ballot initiative that would roll back a tax hike. Earlier this year, the Glendale City Council approved a point-7 percent sales tax increase to make up for an ongoing budget shortfall.
