Terry Ward and Governor Janet Napolitano
( Phoenix, AZ ) Governor Napolitano joined us on Here and Now. Topics included a discussion of the budget agreement - although state lawmakers have adjourned some issues remain. We also talked about the effort to de-fang the aims test and the fact that the governor has vetoed official english legislation although supporters promise a ballot initiative. Other issues that came up: Senator John McCain's proposal to reform the nation's immigration laws, an effort is under way to require arizona to get more energy from alternative sources and the Governor's priorities for the coming year.
