The CSI Effect and TV Disclaimers
( Phoenix )Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas wants the major television networks to place disclaimers on-screen prior to programs such as CSI and Law and Order. Thomas believes the programs may be influencing juries to acquit more defendants. KJZZ's Steve Goldstein reports.

( Phoenix, AZ )Governor Napolitano joined us on Here and Now. Topics included a discussion of the budget agreement - although state lawmakers have adjourned some issues remain. We also talked about the effort to de-fang the aims test and the fact that the governor has vetoed official english legislation although supporters promise a ballot initiative. Other issues that came up: Senator John McCain's proposal to reform the nation's immigration laws, an effort is under way to require arizona to get more energy from alternative sources and the Governor's priorities for the coming year.

A Peek at Tovrea Castle
( Phoenix, AZ )One of the questions the Greater Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau gets asked the most often is: What is that odd building that looks kind of like a birthday cake up on a hill, with all the cactuses, visible from the Loop 202? The answer is Tovrea Castle and Carraro Cactus Gardens. This weekend, the castle and gardens will be open for some rare public tours. The tickets are sold-out, but KJZZ's Rene Gutel got a preview tour.

Holocaust Remembrance Day
( Phoenix, AZ )It's Holocaust Remembrance Day. Commentator Deborah Sussman Susser's father survived the Holocaust. He arrivevd in the U.S. at the age of 17 and made a life for himself as an American. He married a woman who did not share his background. And toward the end of his life, he began to wonder whether he had instilled a strong enough sense of Jewish identity in his children. Deborah says, though only her father was Jewish, both parents gave her the identity she has today.
